About our founder – Sinéad Geraghty
Sinéad holds a Bachelor of Business Studies from Dublin City University (DCU), specialising in Finance and a Masters in ECommerce from DCU, specialising in New Enterprise Development and Digital Marketing. In 2008 she graduated from the Invest NI Export Sales and Marketing Programme and received a certificate in Export Sales and Marketing from the Institute of Marketing Ireland. She is a DCU Uaneen award holder, the 2010 Winner of INVENT DCU’s Annual Commercialisation of University Research Award and a 2010 Finalist in the Accenture Leaders of Tomorrow Award.
She came up with The Stowaway after her house started to resemble a bike shop. With 3 bikes and not a lot of living space, maneuvering around and tripping over the bikes was happening far too frequent. That got her thinking that there had to be a better way of storing bikes in the home without taking up valuable living space. And that’s where The Stowaway concept grew from.
